What was your favorite part on wedding day? By far, our first look. With the close second being our entire ceremony. The entire day was filled with so much happiness, gratitude, and love, and both Ben and I were overwhelmed with emotion. I could not have imagined a more perfect wedding to kick off our life together as a married couple.
Tell us about the proposal. Ben and I are so grateful for each other and our marriage. Neither of us expected to find someone with whom we are so compatible. We have so much in common including our beliefs, views, interests, goals, etc. From our very first date, we began building a relationship off a foundation of honesty and communication. So much honesty and communication that the proposal was hardly a surprise! Once he asked me what kind of ring I would "hypothetically" want, we were off to the races! He tried to keep things a surprise (I hate surprises) until I finally wore him down after I knew he had the ring in his possession. He was still keeping the actual proposal as close to the chest as possible, but after way too much excitement from me, he finally broke down and said "Can you at least wait 72 hours?!" Well, low and behold, just under 72 hours later, he proposed while we were on a hike in Big Canoe.
Ben and I were so excited to finally get all of our family together to celebrate. Since we got engaged right before the COVID shutdowns, our families were not able to meet in person until the wedding weekend, so it was so special for us to all be together.
Any marriage advice you would like to give future couples? Keep your attitude grounded in gratitude, keep your communication flowing freely, and treat each other with kindness and respect always!
